FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I see clients in person at my Pasadena and Sierra Madre offices, and also offer secure online sessions anywhere in California. My goal is to make therapy feel as flexible and accessible as possible, so you can get the support you need in the way that works best for you.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients begin weekly to build momentum, then shift to biweekly or monthly as they feel more grounded and supported.

  • Yes — I’m in-network with Aetna. For all other insurance plans, I’m an out-of-network provider. I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you may submit to your plan for possible reimbursement.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full session fee.

  • I accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and Zelle. All payments are processed securely at each session.

  • Yes!

    • Pasadena – You can park for free in the lot right at the building.

    • Sierra Madre – There’s plenty of free street parking, plus an additional parking lot behind the building.

  • Our first session is a space to exhale. You’ll be able to share what brings you in, what you’d like to feel different, and ask any questions you have. Together, we’ll start shaping goals at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Many of my clients are women who carry a lot for others and feel they “should” manage alone. But sometimes life simply asks more of us than we can hold by ourselves. Therapy gives you a space to tend to your own needs, build resilience, and stop carrying it all alone.

  • Yes. I welcome clients from diverse racial, ethnic, gender, sexual, religious, and social backgrounds. My practice is also neurodiversity affirming and offers a safe, supportive space where your full story is honored.

  • Yes. If spirituality or faith is an important part of your life, I’m glad to integrate it into therapy. I also work with clients who don’t identify with any faith.

  • The best way is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. It’s a chance to get a feel for my style, ask questions, and see if our connection feels like the right fit.

  • As part of the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of therapy before beginning services. This estimate outlines what you can expect to pay based on our agreed-upon session fee and frequency. I provide this in writing before we start and anytime you’d like one. My goal is to make costs clear and transparent so there are no surprises.
